The Ultimate Guide to Vision Boards for Life Coaches

When I first began running my Sold Out Vision Board Parties course, one thing about my students surprised me…

… Many of them were life coaches (or aspiring life coaches).

I had no idea that life coaches would naturally want to host vision board workshops for their clients to help them visualize the transformation they would make during their time working with that coach.

But, it makes perfect sense for these two to go hand in hand when I say it out loud right?

A vision board helps people make get clarity in their journey by declaring their success. A life coach holds your hand and guides you through your challenges to ultimately reach a goal.

Many life coaches use vision board parties apart of their niche:

  • Personal Finance

  • Relationships

  • Mindset

  • Career

I’ve even seen realtors host vision board workshops to help their clients visualize their dream home before they even step into a property.

Hosting a vision board workshop might be a great addition to your client’s journey to success. In this article, I’m going to share with you how to

Benefits of Combining Life Coaching and Vision Boards

Life coaches will have a few benefits that people who are not life coaches will not.

You don’t have to build an audience.

One of the most challenging obstacles to hosting vision board workshops is finding the people to serve. Many new vision board party hosts must find out who they want to serve, then they have to build a community that would want to hear from them.

This journey is simple, but not easy.

Many life coaches will circumvent this challenge altogether because you already have an audience that would be interested in your workshops: your current clients.

You already know your target audience intimately.

Because you’re meeting with several clients on a consistent basis, you’ve likely learned what their pain points are. You’ve learned what barriers they must overcome to reach their goals. You likely know them on a more personal level - what they enjoy doing in their free time, their family dynamics, and what keeps them up at night.

This insider knowledge means that you can create a vision board workshop that truly caters to your client’s needs.

Why vision board workshops work so well for life coaches

Vision boards can be easily integrated into your coaching practice because vision boards are used for clarity in goals and life coaches help with a specific life area or struggle.

It’s easy to create a natural connection between the two.

How life coaches can easily add vision boards to their services

Identify who you want to serve with vision board workshops.

Think about your clients and ask yourself “who would be best served with a vision board?” Is it the new client that just walks into your doors for the first session? Is it someone that has just reached their first breakthrough and is now ready to accelerate?

What do you want to help them achieve?

As the coach, I want you to think about what’s the best way to serve your client with a vision board.

Why do you want to create a vision board workshop experience for this particular client? What will they gain from creating a vision board at this time in their journey?

Merge this strategy with your overall approach.

While planning your vision board event, remember that you’re creating your client’s journey. That means you’ll control what your client experiences at the beginning, middle, and end of their work with you.

Where the vision board workshop enters their journey (and how it contributes to their experience) will be based on the way you create the path for them.

As the coach, it’s up to you to create an experience that guides your audience towards the goals they’d like to achieve. Find a way to make vision boards more than a fun art project and a real tool for growth and clarity along their journey.

What kind of vision board workshop are you excited to host?
